The biggest obstacle to the holistic development of Dausa and Sawai Madhopur districts has been the scarcity of water. Recognizing the critical importance of water in achieving the vision of Viksit Rajasthan@2047, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma has taken major strides toward providing a permanent solution to the water crisis in these two districts and across the state.
Through the revised Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, the Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project, the Yamuna Water Agreement, and the next phases of Dewas, long-pending inter-state disputes have been resolved. Furthermore, full budgetary provisions are made alongside the announcements, ensuring development reaches the ground well before deadlines.
The Double Engine Government is set to permanently resolve the water crisis across Eastern Rajasthan through the ₹91,000 crore revised Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project. This will provide adequate water supply for agriculture, industry, and drinking needs. Out of this budget, 7 drinking water projects worth ₹23,312 crore are actively underway.
The Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project, designed to treat water from the Isarda Dam and transport it to villages and towns, has now reached a crucial milestone. This ambitious project, costing approximately ₹3,588 crore, connects 1,256 villages and 6 major towns to the drinking water network. It aims to deliver tap water connections to more than 3,06,198 households, providing clean, quality drinking water to nearly 35 lakh people.
Water Reaches the Filter Plant from the Dam-
A 225 MLD capacity filter plant is being constructed under the project. Currently, testing and commissioning work for the plant is underway. Water has already been successfully supplied to the filter plant from the intake well located at the Isarda Dam.
299 km Completed Out of 341 km Transmission Line-
Under the first package of the project, 299 km of pipeline has been laid out of the proposed 341 km main transmission pipeline from the Isarda Intake Well to Mahwa. Construction of clean water reservoirs and filter plants at Isarda and Bagri has also been completed. A total of ₹1,006 crore has been spent on Package 1 so far. Additionally, the construction of the intake well and pump house building at Isarda Dam has been completed under Package 2.
